How to Remove the Background From a Logo

·3 min read·ClearCut Team

Got a logo trapped inside a white square? To use it cleanly on colored backgrounds, websites, and merch, you'll want it as a transparent PNG. Here's how — assuming it's a logo you own or have permission to edit.

The quick way

  • Upload the logo image to a background remover.
  • Let the AI clear the solid background behind it.
  • Keep the Transparent option and download the PNG.

For the sharpest edges

Logos with hard edges and flat colors cut out extremely cleanly. If your logo has a glow or soft shadow, check the preview closely — you may prefer to keep or remove that halo depending on where you'll use the logo.

A note on ownership

Only edit logos you own or are authorized to use. Removing a background doesn't grant you rights to someone else's brand mark.
